Payne claimed victory in Race 12 before backing it up with another commanding win in Race 13 after starting from pole position. The impressive weekend elevated the Kiwi star to third in the championship standings, With two wins including a 1-2 finish with teammate Kai Allen, this was a dominant round for Penrite Racing’s 2026 campaign.
The success wasn’t limited to Payne’s driving alone. For the New Zealand rounds, the #19 Ford Mustang received a special hometown-inspired makeover that paid tribute to New Zealand and its culture. The striking matte black livery featured shimmering gold ferns flowing across the car, creating a bold and elegant design that stood out on track from every angle.
