Red Bull Ampol Racing #88 Ford Mustang GT – 2026 Dunlop Sydney 500 Race 1 Winner – Driver: Broc Feeney (First Ford Homologation Team Win)
With Triple Eight Race Engineering making the bold switch to Ford for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship and taking on the crucial role as Ford’s homologation team – the spotlight was firmly on the squad heading into the new season. After a disappointing end to his 2025 campaign, Supercars star and 2025 Sprint Cup Champion Broc Feeney wasted no time in responding, arriving at the opening round with clear intent.
At the season-opening Dunlop Sydney 500, Feeney delivered a standout performance that reasserted his status as a title contender. He drove superbly to claim victory in the opening race, setting the tone for the weekend, before backing it up with another commanding win in Race 3 from pole position. It was a clinical display of speed, precision, and composure.
Equally eye-catching was the debut of the new Red Bull Ampol Racing Ford Mustangs, which rolled onto the grid in striking new liveries. Retaining the iconic matte blue Red Bull base, the design was elevated by bold Ford Racing blue stripes and accents, symbolising the fresh alliance between Triple Eight and Ford. The visual statement matched the on-track performance, marking the beginning of a promising new era for the team. Triple Eight Race Engineering fans and die-hard Ford Racing collectors, shouldn’t miss this release.
Produced in 1:18 scale die-cast, the model features opening components including the bonnet and both driver and passenger doors. A highly detailed racing cockpit is visible through the clear moulded glasshouse or by opening the doors for closer inspection. Beneath the bonnet sits a faithfully recreated 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 engine and detailed engine bay, while the underside showcases the distinctive Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of approximately 204 individual metal and plastic parts, the model undergoes between 100 and 200 separate paint and decoration processes. Finishing touches include tampo printing where possible and finely crafted photo-etched components such as bonnet pins and brake rotors, resulting in a premium, high-quality collector’s piece.
Produced in a strictly limited edition of just 888 pieces worldwide, this model is a must-have for Ford and Triple Eight Race Engineering fans alike.
