Released in October 2005, the FPV GT series consisted of the GT and GT-P variations. Both variants were powered by the 5.4-litre Boss 290 V8 engine with the new ZF six-speed automatic replacing the outgoing 4-speed auto from the BA. There were a many notable exterior and interior differences to the previous BA Series including new restyled front and rear bumpers, new trapezoidal dual exhaust, jewel-effect tail lights, new style satin silver fog lamps and new 19-inch machined silver 5-spoke wheels – the first time 19” wheels were standard on a GT.

The GT featured eye-catching “BOSS 290” graphics on each side of the bonnet bulge hiding the 5.4-litre Boss 290 V8 engine pumping 290kW and 520Nm of torque. The stripe decal kits worked very well in tandem with the array of bold colour options that added a real presence to the GT on the road – they we’re unmistakably a modern Australian muscle car with clear influences from famous Ford GT’s of the past.

Produced in high quality sealed-body resin, the 1:18 scale FPV GT is an exquisitely-crafted collectable with perfectly replicated Brembo brakes, black diamond-style grille with GT badges to dual-trapezoidal exhaust tips. Despite being a sealed-body model, the Le Mans cloth FPV sports seats and all the interior details have been expertly replicated which can be clearly seen through the clear windows. The exterior finishing and colour of this model is a real standout that will make it a simply stunning addition to any model car collection.
